Circumference in the ring table is calculated from the inner diameter (π × diameter). By this reference, a 17 mm ring is about US 6½–7 and an 18 mm ring is about US 7½–8.
How to measure your ring size
- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that already fits the same finger, in millimetres, and compare it with the table.
- Or wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length (that is your circumference).
- Measure at the end of the day when fingers are warmest, and make sure it slides over your knuckle.
